Mayor's quagmire: With friends like these ...

....it's that his friends can cause him more problems than his enemies......First, it was the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, one of the first city unions to endorse him and give him financial support in his campaign, and its controversial contract with Department of Water and Power workers.....Last week, it was the Engineers and Architects Association, which also broke with other city unions to endorse Villaraigosa in the election, but is now confronting him with new wage demands....And as the mayor stumps across the city for education reform, it is United Teachers Los Angeles - where he once worked and which also backed his election - which is proving to be the main obstacle to his various proposals.
AV should stop with the excuses and support the EAA like he did the IBEW. The EAA are good workers, educated and dedicated.
You obviously weren't caught in the mess at LAX yesterday. Their protest there was a stupid pr move and did not garner support but pissed off plenty of people.
Anyone see the "F***_VILLARAIGOSA" website some of the animal rights people put up last week to blast antonio for the "I'll fire stuckey" big lie? Pretty CRUEL.
(Except in AV's case it should be animal "rites")

P.S. I really hate it when some group or individual posts things and then goes back and responds to themselves. Or when a group puts their website on Mayor Sam and then comes back and posts as a complete stranger commenting on it.
