I Am Not Dan Shallman

SamFor some reason, a group of morons who read my blog think I am Dan Shallman. I don't know Dan Shallman, but I do know that he is nowhere near as talented and good looking as I am.

To make the point to you Sunshine Canyon for brains nitwits out there, Mr. Shallman took the time to write me an email on the topic:
Dear Mayor Sam:

I have learned that visitors to your website have claimed that I am Mayor Sam. But as you must know, I am not you (nor do I even know who you are). Kindly advise your readers of that fact. As you also must know, I have no association whatsoever with the Mayor Sam website. You do not speak for me and nobody should ever mistake your opinions for mine. I also did not write Primary Colors, I have never spoken to Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein, and I was not alive in 1963 and was therefore nowhere near a grassy knoll in Dallas, Texas.

Thank you.

Dan Shallman
Blog away less than intelligent ones.

I know the Shallman's and I never thought you were one of them, although admittedly, I don't know Dan, unless he goes by a nickname.

I think that letter was legitimately from a Shallman though, or at least someone who shares the same sense of humor.

Hell, I know who John Shallman IS!

He's the guy that took all that money for doing an I.E. for Flora Krisiloff and blew the mailing and delivery , so that everyone received the stuff the day AFTER the election.

Another genius...

Antonio was the one who said no more special interest or lobbysist money. Didn't AD also have $2mil more then Hahn? Why can't he use that money? What a bunch of lame ass losers we have on council.

Trust Fund Is Created for Mayoral Transition.....From Times Staff

The City Council voted Tuesday to create a special trust fund that would raise money to pay for Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa's transition team and inauguration.

Campaign officials stressed that no taxpayer funds would be used. Instead, individuals would be allowed to donate up to $10,000 to the fund, which would be capped at $200,000.

What a difference in reporting. David "Z"man of Daily Breeze knows how to do a story better then any in this city..
City Council votes to allow Villaraigosa to seek donations to cover the changeover, but some say city should foot the bill.

One week after he finished raising millions of dollars for his victorious election campaign, Los Angeles Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa will begin seeking donations to cover the cost of his transition activities, from hiring mayoral staff to the inaugural celebration on the City Hall steps.
Since no money exists in the city budget to cover the six-week transition, the City Council voted 10-0 on Tuesday to allow Villaraigosa to raise up to $200,000 for his temporary staff, office equipment and inaugural events.
The decision drew fire from at least one campaign finance watchdog, who argued that private contributors should not serve as the financial backers of any aspect of city government -- including a mayoral transition………"These people are probably not giving out of charity," said Robert Stern, who heads the Los Angeles-based Center for Governmental Studies. "They're giving because they want some access to the transition team."
Villaraigosa, who takes office on July 1, raised $5.9 million over the past nine months for his mayoral bid, a sum that does not include the $1.6 million spent on behalf of his candidacy by outside groups, including the California Teachers Association.
The mayor-elect said he will be in charge of the new round of fund raising, which will cover his transition activities through Aug. 30. He also pointed out that the process is the same one used by his predecessors, James Hahn and Richard Riordan

The council authorized Villaraigosa to raise up to $10,000 from each contributor for his transition, twice the maximum allowed in 2001. Although the council specified that each contribution worth $5,000 or more should be disclosed, every contribution will be a matter of public record, said Rob Wilcox, spokesman for City Controller Laura Chick.....Councilman Dennis Zine voiced surprise that Villaraigosa will need to raise so much money so quickly. But he argued that the mayor-elect has urgent business ahead of him.

All of you ADV staff and supporters posting here, especially Mayor Sam pushing the Huizar AGENDA. Well, let me say this, "It all depends on who the people want in office, not who you want in office!" It is especially disturbing to read post after post discussing the latino possible candidates, and you have left out all other ethnic people out of the councilman race in CD14. Huizar is not the only option, it may be the option AV, Parke, SMith, Riordan, and the Vignali gang want, but keep in mind on what the people want. There are alot of Asian Americans in CD14. It would be a true Mayor to support a candidate that was not of his race (latino) and show that he indeed is trying to be a candidate of all people. If I know well, the mayor will support those that have funded him well, and supported him through kickbacks in contracts. Huizar has every right to run for any office, but so does every other citizen in this district. We need new credible people to run, not these recycled bodies that are puppets for a dime a dozen. ADV is not the Latino face, he is the latino farce.

That's why I want Sen. Bulworth for Governor.

I know, Hillary Norton should run for CD 14 so we can have more Fleishman Hilliard jokes.

Let's get really diverse and back Leland Wong. He really knows how to raise $$$. Doesn't he still have that house on Mt. Washington?

I love anonymous 9:47 bringing up Vignali. The racist Vignali smear is the only the Hahn/anti-AV crowd will ever be known for. The fact that AV demolished Hahn makes this a pathetic legacy, to put it mildly.

You lost, you're on your way to losing again, and you're just going to keep on losing.

Time to move north.
