LOS ANGELES – Mayor Jim Hahn was missing in action at today’s debate sponsored by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest and largest black-owned weekly newspaper in the West. The event was held at the California African American Museum and broadcast live on KJLH-FM and covered by NBC-4.
Parks, Villaraigosa and Alarcon were asked by NBC-4 weekend anchor Furnell Chatman what the absence of Hahn and Hertzberg signaled about their opinion of the South LA community, “Why would you suspect only the mayoral candidates of color volunteered to participate in this debate?”
Antonio Villaraigosa said he believed that “the next mayor of this city has to be as comfortable in the Eastside as in the Southside and in the San Fernando Valley.”
Villaraigosa campaign manager Ace Smith commented on Hahn’s absence. “You would think that as mayor of the second largest city, Jim Hahn would show up to the opening of an envelope. Instead, he has missed most of the candidate debates and forums since the start of the campaign.
The bottom line is: unless there are lots of TV cameras, Jim Hahn doesn’t think you matter.”
Smith added a couplet: “The voters will soon ask for a rebate / Because they have a mayor who won’t debate.”

SO stop by the Eastside some time on your way home, ADV. If it weren't for the newspaper photos and the TV ads we'd forget what you like over here.

Oh no, I hope that I'm not getting my name copied. Oh well, whatever...
As for those girls in the photo with Villaraigosa, those 2 girls were gials who participated in the summer youth program Learn to Earn that his office put together with the help of Youth Opportunity Movement and the Los Angeles Housing Authority. A bunch of kids were able to go to summer school and get paying summer jobs because of this program.
Just thought that I put this up before the "I heard..." chisme makes it on here.

(Who cares who meat is, Ace Smith is REALLY Johnny Cochrane...)
District 14 is working on a recall / Because their councilmember's not there, AT ALL.

Tony Villar ran for council on false pretenses / Now his constituents are coming to their senses.

Villaraigosa's campaign handlers really missed their calling / They should go write Hallmark cards; their ethics are apalling

How would Antonio know what its like on the Eastside since he's nevr there. Hahn has been seen more on the Eastside then ADV. Hahn has brought after school programs, the CLEAR program and so much more for ADV's community. That's why he has the Latino vote

That lazy ass AV nor his lazy ass staff put any work into the earn and learn all the work was done by the Housing Authority staff and the Youth Opportunity staff. Even that stupid lazy ass jimmy Valenzula who works for the Youth Opportunity Program and a huge AV supporter did no work on this project. Of course AV was there at the end to hand out certificates and take credit for someone elses work. Jimmy V was there too to make sure his buddy AV got credit. Jimmy V was also on his knees behind the podium giving AV a blow job as usual.
