Mayor Sam Exclusive: "Lady M Rod's Political Ambition of Lies, Misinformation and Misuse of Public Resources Exposed (Again)"

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we DOCUMENT again how the POLITICAL AMBITION (mixed with lies, disinformation and misuse of public resources) via CD-7 City Council Candidate Monica Rodriguez, WRONGFULLY besmirched the selfless-character of award-winning Sunland-Tujunga Community (and city-wide Neighborhood Council) Activist Cindy Cleghorn.

** Blogger's Notes: Its a major UNDERSTATEMENT to keyboard that the every community/neighborhood needs a SELFLESS leader, as exampled by longtime Sunland-Tujunga Community Activist Cindy Cleghorn. 

Rightfully honored by Los Angeles City Council President (and the current Council District Seven Administrator) Herb Wesson as the "2017 CD-7 Pioneer Woman of the Year" the Small Business Owner has QUIETLY given countless of hours back to her communal home, in the quest to preserve the unique identity of the Foothills Sanctuary. 

In recent years, the Stalwart Activists of the Sunland Tujunga Community have fought back attempts by "Home Depot" to insert Big Box Retailing along Foothill Blvd, and are leading the battles to preserve the ecological and historical gems of the Verdugo Hill Goft Course/Open Space & the La Tuna Canyon World War II Japanese Interment Site respectively.

NONE of these endeavors would of been, or be possible without the actions of the Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council Land Use Committee ........... and its CONSTANT presence of Cindy Cleghorn. 

YET, as we DOCUMENT in a Mayor Sam Exclusive, Sunland Tujunga Stakeholders and Voters in CD-7, should find CAUSES for concern in the recent actions of NOW City Council Candidate (and former Board of Public Works Vice-President) Monica Rodriguez, who instructed the Building & Safety Department to IGNORE the standing of the STNC Land Use Committee (and its Chairperson Cleghorn) ........., in responding to issues of ILLEGAL SIGNAGE. 

As emails posted below disclose, S.T. CPAB Member Rock Swart, along with members of the Sunland Tujunga Chamber of Commerce, emailed the, THEN Board of Public Works Member, seeking an intervention in regards to the Citation of local business for Illegal Signage.

A further review of the email contents, discloses that at the same time those affiliated with the Chamber, were venting their frustration about THOSE who were filing complaints about questionable Signage to Board Member Rodriguez ..............., the STNC Land Use Committee was working with the appropriate city departments on remedies, as empowered by the City Charter.

At one point, Public Works Board V.P. Rodriguez implores the parties involve, to work TOGETHER on a joint communal presentation with Building & Safety Officials ............., BUT then for no apparent PROFESSIONAL reason (and ALLEGEDLY, for future Political Considerations) , Rodriguez INSTRUCTS the Building & Safety GM Frank Bush to work directly with the Chambers Members.

Rodriguez WRONGFULLY stated that Cleghorn was NO LONGER a member of the STNC and insinuated that "Cindy is not the appropriate point person and is complicating matters significantly". 

With Rodriguez INSTRUCTIONS heeded, the end result was that the Sunland-Tujunga Chamber of Commerce EXCLUSIVELY HOSTED the meeting with the Building & Safety Officials in September of 2016 ..........., but not without giving THANKS (in words, and later with CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS) to, NOW CD-7 City Council Candidate Monica Rodriguez ........., and NO APOLOGIES to Cindy Cleghorn-----Scott Johnson.
