Oooh, what a great idea. Would like to know what the "outsider", otherwise known as HYPOCRITE, THINKS OF IT.
The "Decade of Decline" in LA is something we're fast coming to recognize. Blogger Joseph Mailander is not (as far as I know) a Kevin James supporter, but some stats he has recently come up with certainly complement the charges against Wendy Greuel, Jan Perry and Eric Garcetti.
LA County median home price, 2003: $315,000.
In early 2013, median home price is : $319,000. (Nothing much happened in between, did it?)
LA Times circulation 2003: 900,000 print.
In 2013, including digital, it's 675,000.
2003: 750,000 students enrolled in LAUSD.
2013: 680,000. And District is still building new schools!
2003: City is afraid of war protests, arrests some protesters.
2011: Villaraigosa, Garcetti tell Occupy LA "stay as long as you like." at a cost of over $300,000 to repair City Hall
2003: 50,000 homeless in LA County.
2013: Unchanged. City spends $8 million on project to house 32 people in Boyle Heights, and other dubious projects.
2003: LA's budget is balanced.
2013: deficit = -$268 million.
LA 2003: Disney Hall opens.
LA 2013: LAUSD music program is a shambles, fully dependent on mythical Dudamel "El Sistemo" impact.
Tasteful.
By contrast, the ads Greuel ran when she ran for City Controller depicted her opponent as a tax cheat. I happened to know that was a lie.
