Before She Was an Expert on Crime?
Is this the Celeste Fremon of the crime and punishment blog, Witness LA, then a USC cheerleader in this 1968 episode of the game show, Hollywood Squares? The things you find on YouTube!

Can't be the same person. A college-aged person (~20) in 1968 would be in their mid-60s today.
The Militant has met Celeste Fremon in person - she's probably in her mid-late 40s -- Way too young to be a college student in the late 1960s.
Maybe the game show contestant's name is "Celeste Freeman."

Militant, she does look great but it's possible she is older than late 40s - her son works on her blog and looks to be in his early 30s I think. She says on the show she is a sophomore so she'd be 19 or maybe even 18 if she graduated high school at 17.
On the show she says she's a student at USC and Celeste did go to SC.
If you look at her face in this clip and look at photos of her now, the facial structure is similar. Also, I looked at a video of Celeste from a recent episode of KNBC Unfiltered (or whatever it is called, the Fred Roggin show on their digital channel) and the mannerisms are very similar, though she's less perky than on the game show.
I'm pretty sure it's her.

Militant, whether it's this Celeste or not, there is a Celeste Fremon (same spelling) who was the first USC song girl and there are references to that on the web. I found this comment on her blog where one of her readers refers to her being a song girl. I also found a 1991 LA Times piece written by a "Celeste Fremon" which refers to her as being SC's first song girl.
We shall see!

Hey Higby, there was someone on Jeopardy named Dave Alexander who says he went to USC.
Do ya THINK that there could be more than one person with the same name?
Do ya THINK there could be more than one Michael Higby?
Now go on your tricycle to that dumpy place in Bakersfield with your stupid Pea Soup and drum up something interesting. Your acting that a perv creeps out people.

Mike, when was the last time you had a girlfriend? I think you're good people, but it's things like this one that make you seem a bit off.

Who is posting the crap about Michael? This item is benign.

HEY GENIUS, DO YOU EVER THINK OF SIMPLY ASKING HER, OR WON'T SHE REPLY BECAUSE SHE THINKS YOU'RE CREEPY AS THE REST OF US DO!?!?
Seriously, Michael, are you really sitting at home and punching in Celeste's name into Google to see what comes up?

10:38(aka Mike Higby)
This is like when Higby rails against those expensive caligraphies commissioned by City Council, but posts photos of the one HE received. Higby lives by a different set of rules, so HE can be a perv, but is quick to call out others for being so.

Good point 10-43!
This blog was infinitely more vital when zuma dogg and haiku were allowed to post whatever they wanted. Now all we "gotted" is a guy who is in love with Huizar, Gatto, and CD14 who doesn't understand the value of using the past tense.

The fact that Higby isn't embarrassed to post this kind of thing is a heck of a statement.
I can only speak for myself, but I wouldn't want my friends to know that I spend time punching into Google the names of local reporters who were attractive 40+ years ago.
Higby, what other womens names do you search for online? Lu Parker? Sharon Tay? Pat Harvey? Oh, I guess you'd never put in Pat Harvey, given your well demonstrated dislike of blacks.

That must be the one and only Celeste Fremon who did go to USC and teaches there now. Maybe she just shows that age is just a number, she doesn't look or act her age.
What's "late 40's" supposed to look like anyway? Many look like they're early 30's. Look at all the 60- something celebrities meanwhile, like Susan Sarandon -- who's have thunk she's that old?
Anyway Celeste has matured into a thoughtful woman even though I don't always agree with her, and she doesn't know as much as she thinks she does especially about foreign affairs. Like how she along with many others thought the Egyptian revolution and reign of the military were really all about freedom like in the days of her '60's youth. It was the Islamists mostly and ALL male!
