CD2 Candidate Debate This Saturday in Sunland-Tujunga
The gloves come off Saturday in S-T as Paul Krekorian and Chris Essel face off in a much anticipated debate put together by numerous Foothill Community organizations.
The organizers (of which I am one) promise to dispense with the often told histories of the candidates and instead focus directly on the issues. In fact, there will be no opening statements by either candidate, we will go directly to the questions.
Award winning broadcast journalist and CD2 resident Christina Gonzalez, of Fox 11 News, will be moderating the event.
This is one debate you do not want to miss!

A lot of endorsement are coming Paul's way after this debate in ST.
Essel does not do good in debates, not much good can come out of this for her.
I hope Essel does better than she did on the Kevin James show.
Chris we are pulling for you.
Looks like the Police Union is gonna back Essel. That sinks it for Krekorian. Looks like Paul is gonna need another Thankyou from Felipe. Councilwoman Essel is looking like a reality.
I am sooooo sick of all of this. I can't wait to elect a grass roots candidate. We blew our chance and now we are stuck with a carpetbagger, no matter how you look at it! I hope we learned our lesson for the future.
What do you think these folks bring over in their "carpetbags"?

Your "grass roots" candidates better be satisfied sitting on advisory panels, like neighborhood councils, because that's as close as their getting to the horseshoe.
WOW! That was some debate today! The
sparks were flying!
And what a sublime travesty it was! Both these fucking union/villar/nanny state/big developer shills should be tarred, feathered and dropped off naked in Panorama City at 3 in the morning. "I'm so PROUD that I..." "I'm very PROUD of my record..." "I'm proud to have so-and-so's endorsement..." etc etc. God, I just wanted to slap 'em everytime they prefaced their remarks w/ how goddamn "proud" they are of themselves. One bright spot: Noel Weiss asking whether either candidate would fire Dale Thrush if elected! HA! And I'm glad John Blue forced the problem of illegal immigration to rear its ugly head (much to the tsk-tsk dismay of all the fat-hanging-over-the-bra pant-suited matrons who smuggly "celebrate diversity.") Squirming uncomfortably, both Kerkorian and Essel backed Special Order 40 and sloughed off the responsibility for this bank-breaking invasion of the Third World on the Feds. What a coupla lefist hacks! I was disgusted.
