Nice speech but what are his views on illegal immigration, sanctuary policies, illegal street vendors etc.?
Congratulations Carmen!!! Our community is looking forward to working with you. Hopefully we will all be able to work together in order to help Los Angeles get back on track.
trutanich is a total pud. He lives in San Pedro, total pudville. His clients are a joke, which is why he did not want to disclose the mom and pop low end stuff he does. He beat jack weiss, who is was and will always be a total dildo. but nuch is not a savior, he is a major league sheister who probably could not even pull down 200K.
He's already talking like a politican. Face the facts although I didn't like Weiss I have a huge problem with David Zahniser reporting hit pieces on Weiss but as a reporter not reporting the clients Trutanich failed to disclose even though it was legal.

Chief Bratton was right! He said it was "a no brainer" to vote for Jack Weiss. Guess anyone who voted for Weiss did not need to use their brain after all! Go figure!
I have a problem with Zuma Dogg acting like this is all about him, rather than the candidates and the issues.
He and Phil are having a tough time leaving the stage from election day through now. The people have spoken and they are Mr. Last and Mr. Next to Last. They make a nice couple. Time for them to kiss and that should be the last word on the subject.

It's disgraceful that Zahniser did at least a half-dozen hit pieces on Weiss to precipitate a negative outcome -- like he was engineering the fate that the OpEd people had said. People on this blog and Ron Kaye are gloating about it because they have no more ethics than does the Nooch.
They were also outrageous in claiming that Jack Weiss went negative and not reporting that the Nooch went far more negative far earlier. This was a disgusting hit job by a paper that's become the organ for Fox media.

......in an analysis released last summer, Controller Laura Chick found the city raised $137 million from the trash fee hikes -
nearly three times more than it needed to pay the costs associated with the 405 cops it had hired during that period. If the mayor had stayed true to the spirit of his commitment back then, then L.A. would have plenty of money to finish the force expansion this coming fiscal year, as planned.
Instead, the mayor and City Council will likely be forced to slow down hiring to mere maintenance levels. The $7.01 billion budget passed by the City Council on Monday provides enough money to replace officers who retire or quit. The city will have to rely on federal stimulus money to expand the force.
Essentially, Villaraigosa and the City Council will need a federal bailout to deliver on their promise to expand the LAPD. Meanwhile, we will still be paying our monthly trash fees

Yeah, how DARE L.A. Times cause Jack Weiss to lose by 11 points. Remember, it had nothing to do with Jack Weiss or his campaign. If only L.A. Times would have been 11% more supportive of Jack, we would have the right city attorney, instead of the one who won by 11 points. That ball must be pretty heavy, cause you can't pick it up and move on. Maybe because now there is nothing to move on to, since your boy can't even think of throwing his hat in the ring with Gavin and Meg.
It will be interesting to look back at this in a few years and see which things he followed through on and which ones he didn't. Hopefully, he sticks to his guns.

The story today is about the reporter David Zahniser and all his hit pieces on Weiss just one week before the election. He's usually fair but everyone is now talking about the LA Slimes outright and blatant reporting against Weiss and not reporting the clients Trutanich has even though its legal and would have been easy for David Z to find. David Zahniser has become the story. There are tons of rumors why he would be so obvious. I'm estatic Weiss lost but this type of reporting is bullshit.
