The people who voted for George Bush twice are the same dumb-ass people on this blog who are tellings how good looking Sarah Palin is and what a great V.P. she would be.
Highy is at the front of the pack of dumb-ass Sarah Palin supporters who are more concerned with her looks and hunting abilities than her qualifications to lead this nation. Even back in High School we elected the "A" student for school president, not the beauty queen and "C" student.
The same people who voted for George Bush are twice also invited to blog here at Mayor Sam's because they are not concerned with quality of the blog but the quantity of hits on the blog.
It's pretty ironic that Zuma Dogg has show by way of his blog to be a serious blogger about political issues and demonstrates a passion and intelligence rarely seen on this blog.
You don't see countless stupid YouTube videos on Zuma's blog.

If you want an honest answer it's we voters don't pay enough attention to who's doing a good job and who isn't. So, we end picking the person with the most name ID.
We don't hold our elected officials accountable, and we haven't organized ourselves well enough to be able to support a challenger.

In my un-humble opinion, I think it's ALL tied in to lobbyists in Washington, DC, and a whole lot of white guilt re things like Barney Frank and (my beloved) Clinton administration trying to get poorer people into homeownership.
But going back further, it's all about the lobbyists in my view.
As for you, 4:44, both sides post the YouTube videos. Some of them are legitimately important, and others aren't. You can't post them, and then complain about the other side. Your point is well taken, though.

What the hell are you speaking about?
8:09 - do not attempt to crash into communication between sailing men who navigate the seas.
You are not a scholar such as Captain Chapman. You instead have proven to be a master of street language, which is NOT to be used in the prescence of ladies such as Miss Haikula.
I know Captain Chapman.
Captain Chapman is a friend of mine.
You're no Captain Chapman.
You can't blame it on the lobbyists. They are doing a job representing the interests of their clients who are driven by money and the thirst for more of it.
The problem lies with the elected officials who do what the lobbyists and big business want, and ignore the interests of the rest of us.
Nobody is forcing them to do what the lobbyists ask them to do. But the lobbyists having something that the politicans want: campaign contributions.
If enough people spoke loudly enough and demanded a vote a certain way, the politicians would have to choose between the voters and the lobbyists.
But as it is, too many people don't care, and the politicians are able to easily ignore them, take the money, and buy enough ads to stay in office or move to the next one.
Haikula, it's our fault. And you get to make a choice: post, post, and post, even things you don't believe in, for the sake of creating hits for a blog that never accomplishes anything, or using the power of the blog to become a crusader for change.
I believe there is something more sinister in this whole "hits" thing. I'm pretty sure Haikula is trying to get Mayor Sam enough ad revenue so he will in turn pay for her boob job. We need an investigation!

If this somehow doesn't work for you, or if you think I'm here to "do something good," then you should re-evaluate reading our posts.
