Senator Kennedy, the Kopechne family called.

They still want their daughter back.

Click here if you don't know who Mary Jo Kopechne was, and Senator Edward M. "Teddy" Kennedy's role in her death.

Vacation time for Haikula. Thanks for being such a great audience, whether you agree or dissent. I can always go back to just posting haikus. See you in 10 days.

Why didn't EMK do a moment of silence for Mary Jo?

Have a great vacation HL, you deserve it and keep UP all the great work!

Kiss my tanlines, 8:51. I adore your taking the time to show interest in my views, and that you have no willpower to resist me.

No matter where EMK goes, the classic symptoms of alcoholism (the ruddy complexion and surfacing veins), and the guilt of leaving the scene of a young person dying and not getting help for her, will always haunt him. He robbed her family of 39 years, and counting, of life with her.

I needn't highlight all the trouble that followed him in the subsequent decades. But it's the Mary Jo Kopechne case that cost him the presidential nomination in 1980. Haikula was just a young chickie in 1980 at the time, but she knows her history very well.

Your ignorance is embodied in the sounds of extra coins in Higby's pocket change dish. Isn't that great?

Thanks, Higby, for the thoughts. Will check in, assuming there is a computer where us folk done be heading.

Nothing more than haikus, please.

You're an idiot, so the fewer syllables the better. Evidence is that you can't count past seven anyway.

Dumbass.

Yes, there are computers there, but the keyboards melt, they run Windows 3.1 and demons keep shoving pitchforks up your ass.

Enjoy. :)

"The Clap"?

Exactly what decade were you born in?

OK, make that HIV.

By the way; Mary Jo's parents got paid off big time, just bet on it.

Word was it was millions; had to be, since there was no autopsy and the body was buried immediately.

That criminal should have gone to jail. I've been there; the bridge cannot be mnissed and the water is shallow. He's a killer. Maybe he'll get his in Hell for that murder.

Brain cancer is too good for this scumbag.

The "Lion of the Senate" is a cowardly, cheating, lying killer.

he got thrown out of Harvard ofr cheating and was the family fool while his two wonderful brothers lived.

But for the assasinations of Jack and Bobby, he's still be a gfer and a family joke.

He tried to get his cousin, Joe Gargin to take the rap for Mary Jo. The Kennedy money bought off her parents and the Prosecutor and the Judge and he never even got charged with negligence.

And, the fools of Massachusetts keep him in the Senate, term after term.

Is this a great country, or what?

He will, indeed, answer to a higher authority soon. Let's see the Kennedy money buy that one off.
