Kids are being killed, injured, and victimized by people in the city that have criminal records, convicted of felony crimes, and who are illegal aliens. Before Sanctuary City status in Los Angeles, convicted felons would serve their prison term and then if identified as illegal aliens would be deported, deemed undesirable to our country. Political correctness has turned common sense on it's head and now convicted felons who are illegal aliens are not deported, but are release back onto our streets. This is wrong.We have a terrible crime problem in Los Angeles. An innocent young boy, Jamiel Shaw, was killed by a convicted criminal who is an illegal alien. If that criminal was deported after prison, as was police practice before Los Angeles became a Sanctuary City, then Jamiel Shaw would not have been shot and killed as he was.

This is really sad, "Wacko Walter" trying to ride on the back of such a tragic loss, just to get a foot in the door for another misguided attempt at public office.
Talk about sick opportunism. Last time it was euthenized cats and dogs, and now he's upped the ante so he can make a name for himself.
Too bad Katrina was so far away last time, Wacko. Maybe you'll get "lucky" and we'll have an earthquake and dozens will die, so you have a broader issue to subsume.

Don't expect any of our LA politicans to support this. They support illegals and the hell with legal residents in this city. Notice all their motions are for the illegals. There are thousands of legalized Latinos who suppoort this and word is spreading for them to call in as well. These idiot politicans will never get it and we would love to see ICE start raiding LA.
Not to endorse Walter, but he's been supporting deporting illegal criminals for a long time, this is just a chance to highlight it, like any other would-be politician. Only those who are themselves criminals or insane could oppose that -- and actually say that not only should be turn a blind eye to the tens of millions of Hispanic illegals here, whose kids make up most of LAUSD and have sunk our healthcare and other services -- but to keep the illegal criminals, paying billions to inarcarate them and having them kill the day they get out, even.
Anyone who advocates that as "public policy" is off his rocker.
Mexico should reimburse us for the cost of all healthcare for their nationals living here -- Americans can't get medical care there without putting up money upfront, and Central Americans are deported.
Then we should add a bill for the schools, and the costs of their illegal criminals, and allow not one single future illegal from their countries till these bills are paid and collateral put up for future expenditures. The Shaws and other families should sue them, too, for not keeping "home" those criminal nationals deported back to them, but sending them back to the U. S.
This will all come out when McCain challenges the Democrats, and the radical Hispanics will wish they'd have compromised instead of pushing too far.
Just be aware of th elaw of unintended consequences; if Special Order 40 is revoked, ZD will lose his last three posters.

Special Order 40 was created to protect law-abiding immigrants so that they could safely report crimes against them. (Crimes probably committed by your "peeps") Special Order 40's time has come and gone. It has served its purpose and it is now being used for other (political) purposes. The tipping point is coming. If this current city council doesn't have the guts and integrity to revoke Special Order 40, a new council that will revoke it can be voted in. Law-abiding citizens of every race and religion are fed up. Walter Moore has been "banging this drum" for a looong time. He is doing a valuable service to ALL citizens of Los Angeles by having the courage to seize this moment in time. In my opinion, if Special Order 40 is revoked because of Jamiel Shaw's murder, it is a fitting way to honor an outstanding young man that had a life-time of promise ahead of him.
Hell, Walter supported deporting legal, natural born U.S. citizens on this very blog, years ago. See, he can "tell" from a second story window that a busload of brown-skinned voters coming to vote are all illegal.

3. This bill will not pass any LA City Council ever elected by the mostly Hispanic population in Los Angeles, even a new City Council. Like it or not, white Republicans are outnumbered in LA.
4. The bill would be defeated in a protracted Supreme Ct. battle, assuming it got that far which it won't, as it's unconstutional.
5. The ACLU will weigh in that the language is problematic. The word of the ACLU carries more weight in Los Angeles than Wacko.
6. Anyone who is paying attention, apart from a few bloggers here (with dubious racial views)sees Jamiel's Law for what it is, a pitiful attempt by Wacko Moore to use Jamiel Shaw Sr. for shameless self promotion in a race he has no chance to win, place, or show.
7. Even Republicans will not run Walter Moore as a candidate for Mayor.
This legislation would not have prevented the killing. The killer was in jail. They didn't get his immigration status in jail. Why does Walter insist a cop on the street could do better?
With our borders problems it's not advisible to deport criminals. They can come back and they do come back. This is the feds responsibility. Maybe Walter is stupid and doesn't know it or maybe he knows it and just doesn't care. Thanks for nothing Walter!

If someone can't PROVE they're legal, with papers, they're illegal: just like Americans trying to come back from Mexico or Canada or anywhere in the world. This murderer got out of jail one day, killed Shaw the very next. He'd been in jail a number of times, including for felony gun possession. This time, he was in jail for only a few months for felony gun possession, assault. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEPORTED LONG, LONG AGO. With fingerprinting, photographing them -- they can be ID'd on repeat offenses.
Maria Leon, the monster mother of Glassell Park, was busted a dozen or more times for drugs, selling drugs with upto 6 kids under 10 in the house, assault weapons, you name it -- but was usually never charged, just once served 6 months in jail awaiting sentencing. She was declared "deportable," but no one followed through with it.
Her 13 kids cost us untold amounts in criminal activity, drug selling and murder; jailing them; sending them to school (they learned a lot) their healthcare, giving them housing, a $6 million park to deal drugs in. MICROCHIP AND DEPORT ALL LLLEGALS, FIRST OFFENSE.
It's been suggested, give them an extra ten years for every offense if they come back after being deported -- but why should we pay?
We're paying a billion bucks a year in SoCal just for REPEAT ILLEGAL CRIMINALS.
Solution: MICROCHIP THEM IN JAIL, so any attempt to sneak back into the U. S. will be caught. We have to stare down the ACLU when it comes to microchipping: it's cheap, effective, and overdue.

Suspect dead, Glendale officer OK after shooting.
Glendale and Los Angeles police detectives said Tuesday that they were investigating whether Gonzalez was the triggerman in the slaying of Jose Garcia, 29, of Los Angeles, who was fatally wounded two hours before Gonzalez's shootout with police.
Garcia was shot in the head and torso in the 1400 block of North Avenue 51 in northeast Los Angeles shortly after 7:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
