LOS ANGELES (AP) Authorities have launched a criminal investigation into suspected dumping of homeless people on Skid Row after police witnessed ambulances leaving five people on a street there during the weekend.
The city attorney's office is reviewing police videotapes and photographs of the five alleged dumping cases Sunday to determine whether the patients were falsely imprisoned during their transfer and whether the hospital, Los Angeles Metropolitan Medical Center, violated any laws regarding the treatment of patients.

Nothing like a politically correct investigation by a politician that will offend nobody, but investigating election fraud by non-citizens voting in our elections - and the same elected officials shirk their duties to uphold the law.
ZD what do you know about the serious and contagious cases of Staph which are supposedly running rampant through the homeless community downtown. I hear the city is doing everything it can to keep this under wraps. Any truth to it?
What happened to Open Threads? How dare clowncil members take Friday off. They say its because they're attending the funeral for Officer Dorris who was killed early Sunday morning. These idiots don't come out and support the rank and file but now they're using this tragedy because they know the media will be there. The officers DON'T WANT THEM THERE while they mourn their fellow brother. Where the hell were they when Officer Ripatti was shot and paralyzed? NOT ONE OF THEM came out to show support when this tragedy occurred. They have their damn nerve.
