Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday
Another local paper apologizing for La Academia Semillas Del Pueblo and their abysmal efforts at educating children who can least afford nonsense when it comes to their education. Writing in the Highland Park News and Eagle Rock Post, Risa Peris paints Marcos Aguilar as some kind of academic genius. Amazingly, she too downplays the significance of the legendary "Brown vs. Board of Education" decision, making the point that Academia proves seperate can be equal (or perhaps better?). I fear Thurgood Marshall must be turning over in his grave.
If you thought the City of LA was corrupt, check out the story of the tiny LA County City of Vernon in Sunday's LA Times. Its the tale of a family dynasty that runs a city with a population less than 100, most of whom are city workers who live in city owned homes at highly subsidized rents. Things were fine for the rulers of Vernon, that is until some folks looking to reform the city moved into town and ran for Council.
United States Attorney Debra Yang describes the arrest of 80 airport security workers at Los Angeles International Airport in a ten minute Full Disclosure Video News Blog . She tells host Leslie Dutton the circumstances of why she did not prosecute some of the illegal immigrants who falsely claimed to be U. S. Citizens in order to obtain airport secutity positions at LAX. Following the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Towers, airport security became a priority issue for authorities.
Former Berkley Congressman Ron Dellums - the leading left-wing Democrat in Congress during the Reagan years - won election to follow Democratic Attorney General nominee Jerry Brown as Mayor of Oakland. Dellums served 28 years in Congress. He is 70 years old.
Monday the Los Angeles Airport Commission will consider the purchase of 12 natural gas-fueled cars for the airport police.

"When Semillas del Pueblo's principal Marcos Aguilar claims in Los Angeles that "the white way, the American way, the neoliberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction," then you know assimilation of Mexicans into U.S. society is not working. Aguilar's curriculum, which is pre-Cortez Aztec-based, excludes other cultures and creates a separatist school by design.
If you do not accept the neocons vision of some future super-state made up of the United States, Mexico, and Canada, but instead see Mexico as a nation invading the United States, then you must conclude that just as military action is needed to defeat Al-Qaeda, so, then is military action needed to stop the invasion of the U.S. by Mexico's poor.
It is in the interest of the average American to defeat Al-Qaeda. It is not in the interest of the average American to have his neighborhood flooded with illegal, Mexican immigrants. Troops in Afghanistan are defeating Al-Qaeda and troops on the border with Mexico along with a wall will stop the invasion on our southern border"

It is just possible, maybe, perhaps, that FORCED separation of the races (up until 50-60 years ago), ordered by the dominant culture, and VOLUNTARY separation, three generations later are not EXACTLY the same thing.
Any chance? Kick it around, and see if maybe the last brain cells up there don't at least just tickle you a bit and say "okay, those two things are SOMEWHAT different."
I think Thurgood Marshall could have figured it out. . .

Let's push Vicente Fox to nominate Marcos Aguilar for the Mexican Supreme Court - who probably find his luney logic more no worse than that current high court's approach of not extriditing Mexican criminals to face potential death sentences.
Let's see apply a pre-Cortez legal system with a smattering of the People's Repulblic of China's and Castro's kangaroo People's Courts and the wisdom of the those mullahs in Iran - no that is jurisprudence. At least that would get him out of El Sereno.

Woo-yah, support for Acadamia from the Highalnd Park News. Now THAT's something.
The publishers of that paper (like Marcos and Minnie, are husband and wife), were rumored to be the last two conservative Republicans left in Northeast L.A.
If fact (just to put it a format McIntyre can understand) they're SO white. . .
HOW white are they?
He's so white, when he cuts himself shaving, he bleeds mayonnaise.
She's so white her blood type is "clear-negative".
He's so white he crumbles himself up into soup.
She's so white she has to wear sunscreen to burn a CD.
The KKK would let them join over the phone.
If someone's speaking Spanish in their home, you can be pretty sure they'll also changing the baby's diapers.
That be some interesting support for a so-called "racist" school, my cracker!

You know damn well if the blacks had a school like this in South LA teaching the philosophy of Malcolm X or the Black Panther Party all hell would be on them to get rid of it. But since this is a school with illegal kids we're suppose to be sensitive to them. I don't think so. Vernon is the most corrupt little city in the nation.

What the hell does "Vernon" have to do with this. . .
And isn't there a "Marcus Garvey"-type charter school in South Central that teaches some very similar concepts?
How many Latinos attend that one?

It was Mayor Sam who said the HP/Eagle Rock newspaper was supportive of Academia Semillas.
Comes on the heels of the Northeast and Eastside Sun also saying similar things.
I'm guessing the "90032" newspaper (published out of El Sereno by one of Huizar's staff members) will either stay quiet for political purposes, or support the school that was chartered when his boss was school board president.
But then, ALL the local press MUST be wrong, if "Borg" McIntyre says from his perch in West L.A. that the school is "racist."
(These "little brown people" on the East side just DON'T know what's good for them, so the rest of the city will have to learn them gooder, right?).

Aguilar's explanation of the special needs kids dragging down the test score averages sounds just like what someone posted here last week.
Maybe only people that study base 20 can understand how the averaging of test scores works, and how one year snapshots are useless.

Speaking of the four-eyed idiot Alvin Parra who works for Huizar isn't it a conflict of interest or at least an ethics violation that he is still with the El Sereno Chamber of Commerce and soliciting funds for their big celebration? AND he is the publisher of that rag of a newspaper? How can someone who works for a politican get away with what Alvin is doing?
Anonymous said:
I guess you doubters will have to hitch your hopes to that throwaway newspaper published by the angry white guy in Eagle Rock, to show that the community and CD14 leaders don't support the school (although Eagle Rock is a LONG way away from El Sereno, might as well be San Pedro), and Tom Topping doesn't like to go so controversial that he loses ads.
He didn't even endorse last Council election.
Boo hoo!

Mayor Sam:
You said in the opening post, "...Academia Semillas Del Pueblo and their abysmal efforts at educating children..." -- but judging from all your past posts you must have meant abysmal RESULTS ("efforts" used in that context would mean the school isn't even TRYING to educate; your points all along have suggested you believe they're not SUCCEEDING).
That's okay. I believe you did say earlier you attended "regular" LAUSD schools, (back when they were the pride of the nation -- acording to KABC's McIntyre), and were taught ONLY in English.
So, your confusion and inability to use English to express your actual meaning is understandable.

In the news this afternoon Antonio is getting yelled at by angry parents who oppose his LAUSD takeover plan. There's no plan though cause that's what all the legislatures have been waiting for.
It was funny seeing the South LA Farmers at Friday's council meeting yelling at everyone and calling out Antonio. One stated "you came for us in your bus to take us to Boyle Heights to clean your streets, but didn't help us with the farm." How many times have we told people Antonio was always getting people from outside the district to help in his own backyard.

How ironic. Mayor Sam, do you know the precedent used in Brown v. Board of Education. It was Hernandez vs. Santa Ana Unified. Look up the history yourself. This landmark Black segregation case was based on a landmark Chicano segregation case. And now you attempt to spill your propaganda against this "Chicano" school. Isn't this a ctch 22? You can't have it both ways. No matter how much you attempt to hide it, your bigotry still shines through. Do a little research please.

Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
