Bratton: Run for The Border?
On the heels of yet another "pay to play" scandal in the Jim Hahn administration, New York Newsday is reporting that Bill Bratton is planning on leaving LA later this year to begin a quest to succeed Michael Bloomberg as Mayor of the Big Apple.Of course, the Chief has denied this rumor, because, well it would be bad timing to make such an announcement now.
But many of the Chief's friends know he wants to return home some day and to be "Hizzoner" would truly be sweet.
I guess he'll decide next Wednesday, ehh?

Um, not ONLY denied the rumor but said he WOULD SERVE OUT his full 5-year term (OH, and you're 1-2 days late and a million facts wrong on this one). LAObserved had this some time ago.
Remember when Sister City used to "scoop" other blogs? Of course that was before they all became ADV groupies. (That does have a way of blinding you to actual FACTS!)
I SAID before, though, why would a REAL law-and-order guy want to work for a criminal-coddler like Tony V.? It's tough enough to do that job without wearing ACLU handcuffs every time there's a new situation.

Why are you all of a sudden picking on Chief Bratton? Just like Antonio lovers discredit, blast, slam, attack anyone who doesn't agree with him.
SO, we probably ARE going to get RAMPART SCANDAL Parks back in the LAPD fairly soon.
Ouch, that's going to cost another, what, $100 million or so in legal fees.
Good thing you guys are running off Jimmy Hahn and his $10K to $30K "corrupt" cronies -- now we can start losing some REALLY big dollars from the city coffers. We'll be bleeding $30K in legal expenses EVERY DAMN DAY pretty soon.
EVERY TIME the budget committee convenes they have to go into SECRET session to see how much of our tax money Parks' committee is going to give away $50K to $100K at a time, to gang-bangers that got "tuned" up by LAPD under Bitter Bernie's watch.
SO, glad he's endorsing ADV -- and it's REALLY paying off in South L.A., right LA TIMES POLL???

PLEASE, "another 'pay to play' scandal. At least have some intellectual honesty -- even the Times pinned it on ADV's campaign hacks trying to cover Little Tony's tracks as he bleeds thousand of fence-sitting votes out his ass daily.
AT LEAST call it a "pay to play planted story!"
Hell, if it wasn't for ADV's slimemasters, the Times wouldn't know WHAT to write about the race day-to-day. They must go oer hat-in-hand every day and say "got any new dirt for us? We're running on empty -- all the Sister City provides us is dirt on ADV, and we CAN't put any more of that out and still expect him to win (like we endorsed him for).
Bratton's just making excuses to get away. He knows there's no way he could work with prima donna Tony. ADV's already tried to tell people HE'S responsible for LAPD actions in his district, like closing a couple of crack houses - when all he did was show up for the photogs.
ADV would have had to lose Bratton, regardless -- and Bratton's savvy enough to know ADV dishes out payback -- at ANY cost.
If ADV won, and took Bratton into his (ADV's) second term, people would still be saying "crime is down because of Bratton." Everyone who's EVER worked with Tony V. -- at any level -- knows, he WILL NOT allow anyone that reports to him to take credit for ANYTHING. It's ALL hail to ADV, ALL ways!
OH yeah, we've been over THAT before here... RIGHT. 80 (invisible) neighborhood watches. ALL LAPD materials says LAPD is responsible for setting up neighborhood watches -- and they do. (They also say Tony V. is full of shit about the number... CONFIRMED several times).
You guys should join Mayor Sam in talking about Bratton to take attention away from Pierce O'Donnell.

After AV takes over with the help of Parks, Parks will be running LAPD with the Police Commish he is going to hand pick for Antonio.
