The Anyone But Antonio Meme

The Mayor and his minions have launched a "campaign" that is almost comical in it's lies, distortions and mistruths when it comes to representing his record over the last four years (or would that be acutally the 161 days he actually worked on City business?).

If you've read this blog you're familiar with all his mis-doings from Mirthala to toilets to more serious matters like the fiscal health of the city.  You know how big of a kleptocracy Los Angeles has become. So its not a surprise that blogs beyond this one are starting to call for rejection of this 11% mayor.

Not known for being a radical MetBlogs' David Markland gets the ball rolling asking voters to "head to the polls March 3rd and vote for anyone BUT Antonio."  Next Joseph Mailander at Street Hassle picks it up hat tipping to Markland and saying that the Mayor and his handlers have "denied democracy to Los Angeles" this election season.  Fishbowl LA is next to chime in offering that Markland's "reasoning is sound."

So who's next?

Sign me up.

I'm ABA - Anyone but Antonio in the mayor's election, and in the governor's election in 2010.

My preference is for elected officials who think government is a serious enterprise, not an opportunity to become a celebrity and chase tail.

It's no surprise the LA Times endorsed him, because they've been protecting him since his 2001 race. But I couldn't believe the contortions they made to write anything good.

I defy anyone to come up with an accomplishment of his which hasn't been cheapened by an earlier failure of his on the same issue, or hasn't been a simple ballot measure to pass without opposition by the people.

Measure R shouldn't count. The people made that decision. The park bond from when he was Speaker, shouldn't count.

His takeover of schools has been no accomplishment at all, besides wasting money and time for three years because he's such an egomaniac. Even the schools has has taken over have extra money and advantages - yet we don't know the results.

Police improvement, obviously has more to do with Hahn, who hired Bratton, at great political cost to himself.

His planting 1 million trees? A joke. I heard only 43 were actually planted in LA.

He promised in the 2005 campaign to improve traffic. Has he? No.

His Measure B? Again, for the voters to decide. But clearly corrupted a good idea.

Affordable housing? No. Football team in LA? No. More businesses moving to LA? No.

So I cannot really find an accomplishment. Not that I'm surprised.

I'm ABA too, but what's missing is a legitimate challenger who can force a debate and raise enough money to get out a rebuttal and another option to the voters. It's MAV in a landslide. I'll just have to find a way to deal with it.

Did you guys really expect anything else from teh Parke Skelton school of deception? Everything from his parent's to family life to education has been distorted by Parke and mouthed by Ace.

For further proof of this just look at the distortions being spread about another Parke client, Judy Chu. Judy is up against Cedillo for Hilda Solis's congressional seat. Judy is a bright, wealthy and well qualified candidate. No need to distort, right? But that isn't good enough for Parke. Judy is now going around saying that her mom had a union job working at a cannery. Judy you don't need to lie to get the union vote - your voting record will get you that. Take the advice of your cousin Betty, she's speaking the truth about her auntie.

80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES

Yeah, "suck it" is right!

(TOLD YOU SO!)

We was "ABV" - Anyone but Villaraigosa - not to mention "ADV(c)" before it was "cool" you Tony V-endorsing, Chief Faker-promoting, fake neighborhood watch-vouching for, MS blog simpletons.

Welcome to the F-ing party, too little too late, and too stupid to see reality in time to do anything about it but wait for term limits to kick in.

Check back with us in five more years when Parque Skeleton has turnd Jose Hweeeezar into the next mayor (probably with the Mayor Sam's endorsement), and it's just same-sh*t-different-term.

H. Jarvis Tax Assoc is already preparing a recall if Antonio is reelected. Others are ready to join in as well as you can imagine. Shouldn't be too hard to topple. Probably easier to recall him than to defeat him in reelection.

I THINK YOU GUYS GOT THE IDEA. TONY AND HIS INCUMBENT FRIENDS ARE ONLY THERE TO HELP SPECIAL INTEREST FRIENDS AND THE REST OF US ARE NOT ON THE LIST. UNTIL WE EXPOSE THERE SUPPORTERS ON TV SO ALL THE VOTERS CAN UNDERSTAND THE EXTENT OF THIS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MEDIA AND SPECIAL INTEREST MONEY AND CHANGE THE RULES ON SHARING THIS WITH VOTERS WE'LL FIND IT HARD TO ELECT HONEST COMMON CITIZENS TO PUBLIC OFFICE. WHICH IS WHAT THIS COUNTRY IS ABOUT THINK "LINCOLN"
