Mayor Sam's Oscar Picks**

I was pretty good in my picks for the nominees a while back, so I'm going to give a shot at the winners. By the way, in case you were wondering, Mayor Villaraigosa will be at the Oscars and the Governors' Ball following the awards. As with all the guests, the Mayor will be able to take home a gold-dusted chocolate version of the Oscar statue. Not sure, if he has to declare that with the Ethics Commission or to the IRS.

Mayor Sam's predictions in bold.

*UPDATE: Well this old, dead Republican mayor is thankfully somewhat out of touch with Hollywood as I got nine out of 21 nominee picks right. Better luck next time.

And the award for Best Leading Politician in a Corruption Scene goes to Martin Ludlow, for his remarkable performance in "Pride and Corruption". I'm sure that the only Oscar that he'll be seeing anytime soon are Oscar Mayer wieners in the kitchen since he will have to put most of his paychecks from this point to pay off his fines.

Why didn't Henry Mancini, Oscar and Hammerstein and John Williams think of writing a pimp song? We had to wait this long for a song of this quality? For next year, I am writing a tune called " Bitches and Ho s" Just need to find a movie to stick it on the end of during the credits...
