"I'm a gay man and a gay journalist" he used to proclaim at the drop of a hat, always bringing every issue back to the fact that he's gay. Hysterical! I, too, always think of Doug Danger whenever Rosendahl goes into his "I'm a gay guy....my partner died of AIDS ten years ago," etc. etc. Proud to say I own most of Hendrie's "Best of--" CDs.mary whoopeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12605272738519195385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826939.post-55065194601424883942009-09-30T09:33:37.253-07:002009-09-30T09:33:37.253-07:00Whatever it takes to annoy or irritate the public,...Whatever it takes to annoy or irritate the public, you can bet the City Council will somehow mange to create that condition----- and then find an excuse to cause responsibility to fall nowhere near them.

AND BILL ROSENDAHL- the CM that's a jusr a regular guy, but constantly reminding all that he's gay- he reminds me of Phil Hendrie's radio character, the one who prefaced each pronouncement with, "Speaking as a gay restaurant owner," or, "Speaking as a gay homeowner," etc. as the role called for, just something that is inserted that really is not needed as a relevant point, at least in most cases.

Putting Public Comment at the end of meetings by rule or by effect is a big clue as to how they rate the public. Or maybe it's just supposed to be the ones they have it in for, but it affects all. Another bad move by the Council and each member who may try to hide behind the "group."

in cd-14Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826939.post-43773678781784300722009-09-30T08:45:53.534-07:002009-09-30T08:45:53.534-07:00Was this a protest over public comment not being c...Was this a protest over public comment not being called on a particular item, or was it a protest over moving general public comment to the end of the meeting?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826939.post-90735899660458281992009-09-29T23:20:59.084-07:002009-09-29T23:20:59.084-07:00What, Higby, nothing about the anti- (PRO) graffit...What, Higby, nothing about the anti- (PRO) graffiti measure that City Clowncil approved, which will actually make most communities more tagged than ever before.

We're much better off as a city when council is in recess.

When's the next time?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826939.post-22152162603358977842009-09-29T23:13:31.196-07:002009-09-29T23:13:31.196-07:00It looked pretty straight up to me. Your keeping a foot in both clouds your efforts in both. And I have to ask, why aren't you at work when city council is on? And if you work for yourself, is business so slow that you don't have other things to do?

Not that I'm not glad for this update, but you're quite the puzzle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
