Talk about a sweetheart deal- this was a dilapidated builiding that was bought with MTA money - from a previous land purchase - and is ow being sold back to the city. It is an old masonry building with no parking. Just another money pit for the city. And across the street the new hollenbeck station is going up. How many millions was spent on this. Bloody hell, pirates aren't supposed to be nice. Witty? Yes. Foolish? Yes. Nice? No. What do you think this is, a bloody Disney movie? (crew laughs and sips rum)

Sots, I don't wear fish ties as they are for fops. This weekend past I wore a bolero with leather breeches and tall boots. The wench I was escorting thought that I looked quite handsome. I thought I did too. However, vanity is more Villabarbosa's suit and not mine. Our bard wears a cravat sometimes and other times wears gown and mortarboard. A pirate doesn't have to be nice to look nice, savvy?

Anon, just an observation about all that has been posted this morning. One can tell that LAUSD schools have let out for the break, as all the children can't seem to play nice together. We are happy to see the entrance of Mr. Kayser into the fray and heartily endorse him. And before all the sots and harpies start crowing about my ability to call elections, let me remind that I am not a bookie or a king maker. Rather, if you will, my election calling track record is as perfect as the always ethical and honest behaviour of the Clowncil. And we all know how ethical and honest those blokes are, savvy?

(sighs) Yes, the pirate's life is a good one. Just ask Lord Chapman about how privateering has its moments. And while you sots and twitterchatters are out in the street engaging in fistacuffs and 10 pace duels, we pirates are quietly having our moments inside. It's what you know from those moments and not what you tell in a moment that matters.

Speaking of moments, we understand that what was a small, momentary ripple in the pond known as the Catorce Quarter is turning into whitecaps for Don Jose. Red Spot surely must have a nice view from his hillside perch. See the fair vessel yon that flies the Ottoman's pennant? Should that vessel put into port, I would hie myself away before the tempest escapes its teapot; especially if you were one of the teapot handlers.

Now that the cat is out of the bag....pink bismuth anyone? One minute he was talking to (someone he thought was) a middle-class Anglo and chatting her up about "gentrification" and attracting more "upper-middle income" families to the area and "upscaling" things (because he thought that's what she wanted to hear), and then 60 seconds later his other face was telling someone from a lower-income Latino family about the need for more "affordable housing" there. ALL in the exact same small community. This guy can switch pandering gears faster than most NFL QB's can call an audible. Funny thing was, the "middle-class" person he started pandering to was appalled, "where are we (she and her lower-middle class neighbors of all races) going to live when everything here get's upscaled?" - she asked later.
