Weekly's special ...I just finished reading the L.A. Weekly's special issue on air pollution, called "Clear and Present Danger: What you can't see can kill you." Powerful shit. The 30-page report declares a public-health emergency, noting 9,600 people die statewide every year because of smog, and takes on some notable politicians for doing too little, if anything. Some of the lamest ones appear to be Democrats.
