Mayor Sam Exclusive: Fernando Chacon's Montebello Residency (and Office) Issues, Part Two

As the Residency Controversy of Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon (via Monterey Park and formerly of Norwalk), documentation clearly contradicts the statements of the latest Chacon Political Family Sibling to seek Public Office in Southeast Los Angeles County.
The previously noted Monterey Park Residence of Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon.
** Blogger's Note: As the candidates for Montebello City Council shift their respective campaigns into GOTV mode, the Commerce Casino-financed, "Los Chacon (formerly Cerritos) News"-supported Fernando Chacon Campaign, has come under additional scrutiny for it questionable domicile qualifications. According to the Whittier Daily News, a local PAC has sent a Mailer to Montebello Voters, questioning the Domicile Qualifications of the Echo Park, Connected Non-Profit El Centro Del Pueblo Employee. A campaign flyer sent out by Protect Local Jobs PAC, which has supported Delgado and Hadjinian during this election, questioned the residency of Chacon. Chacon registered to vote in Montebello on April 12 of this year. The flyer said Chacon moved into the city just to run for office. Chacon previously was registered to vote in 2010 in Monterey Park and before that in Norwalk (from our previous post) where he unsuccessfully ran for City Council in 2003 and 2007. Chacon said he has a Montebello connection through his office at Reggie Rodriguez Park. “It’s not like I haven’t been doing anything in Montebello,” he said.  But as we document below, Fernando Chacon has been spending some "not so quality time", in the City of Los Angeles, Cypress Park Community. When Fernando was not engaging in positive Lions Club activities (which noted his Monterey Park residency, he was attempting to quell a community protest of his employer's qualifications (and lack of openness and transparency in garnering contracts) at his CYPRESS PARK OFFICE location. Chacon can be heard on the video, stating his reasons to the protestors, for returning to work in Cypress Park ......., not Montebello as he states above----Scott Johnson
Meet the "Lion" Fernando Chacon (who resides in Monterey Park).

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Halloween Eve

Its time for the Eighth Annual "Happy City Hall-oween Missive" via  the Downtown News Editor and "Reigning Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie.
From the Downtown News: The Wicked Witch of DWP/IBEW Wendy "Boss D'Arcy's" Greuel seeking some haunted accommodations at 200 Spring Street.
** Blogger's Note: A bloggin Fall Season coverage of the Los Angeles Political Machine is not complete come the Winter Solstice without the now Eighth Annual "Happy City Hall-oween Missive" via the keyboard of Downtown News Editor ......., and "Reigning Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie. Surely, there will be some "Huizzy Zombinistas" who will claim that I am possess by the "Demons of Past Campaigns Lost (Rudy Martinez in 2011 and Gloria Molina in 2015)". But regardless of my alleged "Bloggin PTSD", we always find a chuckle from the yearly, creative Regardie City Hall-oween Missive as excerpted below----Scott Johnson.
"Train to Nowhere"
"The Poltergeist of a Huizzy Broadway Streetcar Legacy"
** Toot toot! What’s that sound? Chugga chugga! Could it be? You look around and, wow, it’s the Broadway streetcar. But where’s it going? You see it halt at a stop labeled $100 million. Then it stops at a station dubbed $125 million. It rolls again but stops at $327.8 million. You look around and there’s a $275 million stop, a $281 million stop and a $250 million stop. Which one is right, what’s the thing really cost and can you ride it? You try to climb aboard but your body passes right through and, heavens to José, the streetcar just seems to be a fantasy! Will it ever come to reality? You have no idea.
** For those who thought that longtime South LA Columnist Betty Pleasant had ascended the "Soulvine to the Great Beyond", she is alive and well, producing her regular "WMD's" (either "Wanton Missives of Distortions" or rare "Written Missive of Distinction") for the Compton Herald ......., and the content never fails to provoke considering ,.........., Florida congressman Alcee Hastings is being lambasted for calling the state of Texas “crazy” for which the state’s congress members are demanding an apology. During a heated congressional debate on President Obama’sAffordable Care Act last month, tempers flared among the Democrats and Republicans to the point where Hastings called the entire red state of Texas “crazy” because, not only was its congressmen trying to destroy Obamacare, but its state legislators tried to pass a “dildo law” that specified the number of dildos Texas women could legally own—as well as their sizes and shapes!
**  As the Joint DWP/IBEW Joint Job Training/Safety Non-Profits lost their desire to remain a non-audited entity within the "Boss D'Arcy Rizzo" Empire, Village to Village Blogger Paul Hatfield was none too shy in suggesting that a "Top Down Change" needed to be made at LA's utility to affect positive reforms ......., It is time for the city to replace Edwards as the one to track reforms. Appoint an individual from the private sector, independent of the utility. Someone not afraid to speak frankly. It need not – and should not – be a highly paid position. The individual could leverage off of the Ratepayer Advocate, the Neighborhood Council’s DWP working group, retired business people and local business schools.

A Top Ten List of Stories you will not find in the now Brian Hews "Los Chacon (formerly Cerritos) News"

With ABSOLUTELY no apologies to the Publisher/Editor Brian Hews of the formerly Los Cerritos News, now the supposed Commerce Casino-financed "Los Chacon News", we present our Top Ten List of Southeast LA County Political Corruption Missives that will not appear in The Chacon Political Family Propaganda Fishwrap.
Will Brian Hews answer questions about the blatant pro-Chacon Political Family Bias of the former Los Cerritos News ........, now "Los Chacon News"?
** Blogger's Note: It was not long ago that a small-town, "Weekly Edition of Breaking News" via a hustling Editor/Reporter Tandem, were beating the supposed "Daily Fishwrap of Records" to exclusive scoops regarding on-going, corruption stories of recent times (ie. John Noguez), But the 2015 Montebello City Council Campaign proceedings has given witness to a downward spiral of journalistic malpractice from a former, award-winning "Newspaper of Record", now reduced to the fitting-moniker of "The Los Chacon News".via its agenda-driven Publisher/Editor Brian Hews. Since the departure of award-winning Investigative Reporter Randy Economy in 2014 from the Los Cerritos News, speculation has been rampant regarding the abrasive persona of Hews. Yet, more telling is the now obvious pro-Chacon Political Family content of what some say is now a Commerce Casino-financed Propaganda Organ for the infamous Southeast LA Political Family (via CD 14's Ramona Gardens). During the current Montebello City Council Campaign, the now "Los Chacon News" has been blatant with its anti-Mayor Jack Hadjinian rantings which are front-loaded with smearing accusations, but lacking in factual substance. Sadly, the types of rabid, agenda-driven missives targeting Mayor Hadjinian, are the new factually-challenged standard for Hews/Chacon Propaganda Organ ........., and as Hews knows all to well, not properly disclosing your "Hidden Agenda" can be costly as denote by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) $5,000 Fine against his inflammatory ad (via a PAC) targeting Cerritos Councilwoman Carol Chen.in 2014. Thus, as a "Bloggin Service of Objectivity", we present below the Top Ten, Factually-based Southeast LA Corruption Stories not found in the now "Los Chacon News"----Scott Johnson.
10. LA Times: "Old South Gate Foes Dominate District Race".  Current Montebello Unified School Board Member Hector Chacon was then linked to Indicted Associates of infamous South Gate Politico Albert Robles during his unsuccessful campaign for Assembly ......., "The Chacon campaign has been taken over by the Robles brain trust,"(former Assemblyman Hector) De La Torre said last week. "It's the same old Robles smear campaign, all over again."Chacon said that Hernandez's firm was simply paid to print some campaign literature. "I've never met Hernandez," Chacon said. "I don't have any connections with Robles and I never have (** more on that below).
9. Smart Voter: Now Montebello City Council Candidate (via Monterey Park) Fernando Chacon lost his first campaign for Norwalk City Council in 2003.
8.  LA Times: "In Chacon Political Dynasty, Deceit hits close to home". The Driver License-lacking Central Basin Water District Director Art Chacon, assumes the persona of License Driver, Montebello School Board Member (and sibling) Hector Chacon, when pulled over for Driving Under the Influence.,
7. KPPC: "Central Water Basin Board censors Chacon, keeps General Manager";  Central Basin Water District Director Art Chacon is sanctioned by his fellow board members for taking a monthly vehicle allowance, despite not having a Driver License.
5. Smart Voter: Now Montebello City Council Candidate (from Ramona Gardens) Fernando Chacon lost his second campaign for Norwalk City Council in 2007.
4. Press Telegram News: "Central Basin board members spend lavishly on travel": Chacon incurred nearly $25,000 in total travel expenses from 2009-2010 taking 12 trips, each costing between $1100 and $4,400. Records show that during those conferences, Chacon regularly expensed costly meals for himself and his wife. One such charge was a near-midnight delivery of $60 in fruit, berries and dessert to his Las Vegas hotel room. And Chacon often expensed room service meals - which usually include hefty service charges - to his room in the middle of the conference day, such as $40 for a room service delivery complete with coffee and orange juice shortly after 11 a.m. during a conference that included a continental breakfast.
3. FPPC: A friendly (but formal reminder) from the Fair Political Practices Commission, dated August 12, 2014, "Dear Mr. Chacon and Art Chacon for Water Board 2010: The Fair Political Practices Commission (the ‘FPPC) enforces the pro\isions of the Political Reform Act (the “AcC)1 found in Government Code section 81000, et seq. This letter is in response to a referral from the referrals from the Los Angeles County RegistrarRecorder/County Clerk that you failed to timely file campaign statements as required by the Act".
2. EGP News: "Commerce Councilman Resigns after Pleading Guilty to Misdemeanor"Commerce City Councilman Hugo Argumedo was forced to resign on Tuesday after pleading guilty to signing a false statement in a civil lawsuit. On Monday, Superior Court Judge Henry Barela also prohibited Argumedo from running for office during the next three years. Argumedo pleaded to a misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice, while avoiding a felony count of perjury by declaration, said Deputy District Attorney Sandi Roth. The D.A. filed the case against Argumedo on Dec. 14. He pleaded guilty to submitting a false affidavit that he had certified as true in a civil lawsuit between the City of Commerce and former city attorney Francisco Leal. Leal filed the false affidavit signed by Argumedo to defend against allegations that he did not pay a settlement to the city after a contractual dispute
......, and ** Numero Uno: In 1999, at the Grand Opening of the South Gate Paseo Shopping Center, Montebello School Board Member Hector Chacon  Commerce Councilman Hugo Argumedo, along with then Commerce City Councilman Ray "Gordy" Cisneros, were observed by now former South Gate City Councilmans Henry Gonzalez and Hector De La Torre, introducing the infamous South Gate Politico Albert Robles ........., as the next Commerce City Administrator. Councilman Cisneros had his SEIU 347 Endorsement revoked when he would not repudiate the supposed plan to hire Robles. Maybe Brian Hews could ask the namesakes of the "Los Chacon News" to verify?

Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council Member Carlos Montes (with united Community Support) beats back "Petition for Removal"

In a stinging defeat for the Pro-Councilman Jose Huizar/Connected Non-Profit Faction of the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council, the character-attacking charade that was a Kangaroo Court-like "Petition of Removal" against community-backed Carlos Montes, went down to defeat by a 8-7 vote.
Carlos Montes (in black glasses) gives rebuttal to the "Petition of Removal" against him.
** Blogger's Note: Old habits die hard at the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council and the sound heard around the BH Political Landscape last evening, was the latest Kangaroo Court-like attempt to oust someone who would not accommodate the desires of the Huizar Political Machine ....., gone bad. A united, capacity crowd of diverse Stakeholders, sent a clear message that it would not tolerate the "Petition of Removal" against longtime Community Activist and BHNC Member Carlos Montes. The actions against Montes were clearly a attempt to remove a vocal leader who would be an impediment to the Political Agenda of CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar and his Connected Non-Profits supporters (ELACC, El Centro de Ayudo and others). The Pro-Huizar Faction of the BHNC (Mago Amador and her Del Pozo allies) "Jumped the Shark" in underestimating Montes community support and in turn, weaken themselves in face of a growing backlash over their conduct, especially BHNC President Vera Del Pozo and Mago Amador, who recent actions as members of the LAPD Hollenbeck CPAB, merit further review----Scott Johnson.
A capacity-filled room was united in its support of Carlos Montes.
Every Public Speaker from diverse backgrounds and political points of view, voiced their respective support of Carlos Montes.
The Testimonials of Support for Carlos Montes continues ...........
Meanwhile, Huizar Cronies Diane Del Pozo and Mago Amador (with cellphone camera) can only smirk and photograph the backlash against their attempted "Petition of Removal" of Carlos Montes, which was properly defeated with united Community Support.

Morning Briefs on Petitioning for Basic Constituent Services in CD 14

The late CD 14 City Councilman Art Snyder must be rolling in his Grave as constituents are force to craft Petitions for Basic Services from its current City Councilman Jose Huizar.
The Late CD 14 City Councilman Art Snyder was the Role Model for Constituent Services (and you did not need a stinking petition).
** Blogger's Note: Long ago in CD 14 Political Folklore (late 1983, early 1984), a then embattled City Councilman Art Snyder was on KABC Eyewitness Channel 7, debating Recall challengers Steve Rodriguez and Lou Moret. Snyder who was facing a strong Recall challenge (and charges of personal and political nefarious conduct), cited his much-touted reputation for responsive Constituent Services by noting a fluid "In and Out Box Flow" of resolving issues brought to his Office's attention, as a reason for remaining Councilman. Snyder won, only to resign in 1985. Now some thirty years later, the now late Art Snyder would be rolling in his grave in witnessing what has become of Constituent Services in CD 14. This week, the same KABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News reported that Highland Park Senior Citizens were relegated to crafting a Petition to CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar, demanding a resolution to a stalled restroom modification at the community's Senior Citizen Center, which forced the elderly to use unkempt Porta-pottys. Just recently, we were made aware of the supposed comments of CD 14 El Sereno Office Staffer Julio Torres, who stated that a Petition may garner faster attention from Councilman Huizar, regarding the Homeless/Artist Colony on the infamous Elephant Hill. Simply, this reeks of Constituent Discrimination (as documented via "Listgate" in 2011), because we know for sure that the likes of Huizar-loving Hillside Village Property Owners Association would never be force to submit a "Petition" for their desired Valley Blvd "Quiet Zone" ........, right Julio? But maybe we should submit a formal California Public Records Act Request (CPRA) to Julio, on what happen to the $5,000 given to the supposed El Sereno Chamber of Commerce? Just a thought---Scott Johnson.
Homeless/Artist Colony on El Sereno's Elephant Hill.
Does Julio Torres practices what he recommends, especially for those who are documented CD 14 Councilman Jose Huizar Supporters?
When did it become a CD 14 Constituent Services Policy that you must start a Petition for Basic Actions?

Corruption has a Name in Montebello ........., , C-H-A-C-O-N (including Art, Hector, half brother Hugo and Fernando)

With no apologies to Los Angeles Police Commissioner and Connected Non-Profit El Centro del Pueblo Executive Director (Fernando's Boss) Sandra Figueroa-Villa, this is the "name" for Political Corruption in Southeast LA County .........., C-H-A-C-O-N.
Hi ........, my name is Sandra Figueroa-Villa and I can only smile (and dream of future Montebello contract opportunities)  regarding the Political Mailer posted below of my El Centro del Pueblo Program Director (and Montebello City Council Candidate) Fernando C-H-A-C-O-N.
** Blogger's Note: Nothing brings a smile quicker to our bloggin faces than a factually-based Political Mailer ........, and the one pictured below is causing wide grin-induced, facial cramps (along with a good laugh). Whoever paid for this factual "HIT (more like HOME RUN)" on Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando C-H-A-C-O-N and his siblings within the infamous Southeast LA County Political Family, should be commended this effort to educate the Montebello Voters on the nefarious political dealing of the C-H-A-C-O-N's. We sincerely hope that the Montebello Electorate will will turn the page on the Calderon Machine by saying no to Fernando C-H-A-C-O-N (and his Political Familia) on Election Day---Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: The Chacon Political Family Campaign Money Washing Proclivities

As Echo Park Connected Non-Profit, El Centro del Pueblo Program Coordinator Fernando Chacon, attempts to become the latest member of the Southeast LA (via Ramona Gardens) Chacon Political Family to get elected to Public Office, we disclose the alleged, "Campaign Money Washing Proclivities" that have been the subject of multiple FPPC Sanctions.
From the Chacon Political Family Propaganda Organ, Commerce Casino-financed "The Los Chacon Community News": City Treasurer Candidate Charles Pell and City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon ** Will someone PLEASE send this to the FPPC-fined Editor/Publisher Brian Hews at the aforementioned Fishwrap.?  .
** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive (that you will NOT find within the supposed, Commerce Casino-financed "Los Chacon News"), we present documentation (resulting in thousands of dollars in Fair Political Practice Commission-sanctioned Fines) that highlights the alleged, Chacon Political Family's Campaign Money Washing Proclivities. Since being elected to their respective offices, the members of The Chacon Political Family have been investigated and FINED MULTIPLE TIMES by the FPPC for numerous campaign contribution reporting violations. The LA Times reported in its missive on The Chacon Political Family, the flow of campaign contributions to family members ......, In fact, the Chacon brothers used funds from their committees to pay siblings or other relatives at least 30 times over the last six years, according to campaign finance records reviewed by The Times. In 2010, Art Chacon's campaign committee awarded $5,000 in consulting fees to his brother and sister, even though he was running unopposed for the Central Basin water board. (No election was held: Chacon was proclaimed the winner.) Hector Chacon said the money was for work completed before the family learned that Art had no challenger .........., and put into the "Campaign Money Washing Machine" for a future "2015 Montebello City Council Election"? Below we provide links to the MULTIPLE FPPC SANCTIONS ......, and post excerpts that may show the TRUE sources of The Chacon Political Family Campaign Money (before washing, allegedly ........, and not reported in the supposed, Commerce Casino-financed "Los Chacon News")----Scott Johnson.

The alleged, "Chacon Political Family Campaign Money Washing Machine (with quick campaign spin cycles that cleanses the original sources of money)".
Commerce City Councilman Hugo Argumedo.
** In July of 2008, Commerce City Councilman Hugo Argumedo was FINED $9,000 by the FPPC for multiple violations of Campaign Finance Reporting. The following excerpt from the FPPC Documentation gives a glimpse on how Campaign Money is "washed into a campaign (allegedly)".
Anybody can "wash campaign money into a specific campaign" (from undisclosed sources) without supplying background documentation.
Central Basin Water District Director Art Chacon.
** In February of 2011, Central Basin Water District Director Art Chacon was FINED $30,000 by the FPPC for multiple violations of Campaign Finance Reporting. In the excerpts below, we note the persons of interest donating money and expose the "washing of campaign money", from and to, Chacon Family Members.
The "In Cycle" of the Chacon Political Family Campaign Money Washing Machine (Red Denotes  Chacon Family Members including 2015 Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon).
The "Out Cycle" of the Chacon Political Family Money Washing Machine (Red Denotes Chacon Family Member-controlled Accounts including 2015 Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon).
Montebello Unified School Board Member Hector Chacon.
** In June of 2014, Montebello Unified School Board Member Hector Chacon was FINED $16,000 by the FPPC for multiple violations of Campaign Finance Reporting. From the Eastern Group Publications ........, California’s Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has fined Hector Chacon, a member of the Montebello Unified School District Board of Education for violations that date back to 2008 and 2009. The FPPC voted at its June 19 meeting to fine Chacon $16,000 for misusing campaign funds and for failing to report economic interests as required by law. According to the FPPC, Chacon’s campaign committee, California Citizens for Good Government, co-named in the complaint, paid his political consulting firm Quantum Management Services approximately $75,000 between 2008 and 2009, in violation of the Political Reform Act. The Act makes it illegal law to use campaign funds to pay entities where the political candidate has a controlling interest and influence, which Chacon had in Quantum as its sole owner and employee.
The Four Counts against Hector Chacon via the FPPC.
In lieu of the documented role of 2015 Montebello City Council Candidate Fernando Chacon, in the dubious Chacon Political Family Campaign Money Washing, voters should ponder whether they want to support the fourth potential member of a Political Family likely to face his own FPPC scrutiny?

Hot Monday Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine

As Mayor Eric "Gar-Soft-ee" scuttles another attempt to revisit the South LA Church where "Black Lives Matter" Protesters prompted a Mayoral Retreat, the likes of LAPD Blogger Jasmyne Cannick and Boyle Heights Community Activist Carlos Montes are standing up against the Political Machine's attacks on their Right to Free Speech.
When will the City Attorney/LAPD disclose their evidence regarding Jasmyne Cannick's alleged conduct at the November 26, 2014 Downtown LA Ferguson Protest?
** Blogger's Note: From the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, as a refresher for the likes of Mayor Eric "Gar-Soft-ee", LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar ..........., The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitutionprohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. We offer up this Free Speech reminder in the spirit of reminding the politicos listed above, that retaliating against the likes of civic activists, LAPD Blogger Jasmyne Cannick and and Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council Member Carlos Montes, has and will, engender a blowback of protests (and possible monetary losses in Civil Court). Cannick, who's LAPD-centric Blog has become the cyberthorn in the backside of LAPD Chief Charley Beck,, is facing trumped-up charges of "resisting police" but has yet to be presented with the evidence against her.  Montes, who is a Leftist Progressive, is facing a "Petition of Removal" from the Bole Heights Neighborhood Council for being a alleged, disrupted persona. The actions against Montes are not the first time that an NC Member who was not a Councilman Huizar ally, has been targeted by the Officeholder supporters. A few years back, Community Activist (and "-3 Huizar Critic") Jose Aguilar was removed from the Office of President via dubious reasons. While disagreeing on 90% plus on the political positions of both Cannick and Montes, both should be accorded the respect for their efforts in disclosing wrong-doings and standing up for their principles ........, without retaliation from the Political Machine---Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: LAPD Hollenbeck Division CPAB in Violation of Administrative Order No. 6?

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose evidence of multiple violations of LAPD Administrative Order No. 6 regarding "The Structure and Responsibility of  Community-Police Advisory Boards", that supposedly safeguards its "non-partisan membership".
LAPD Hollenbeck Division Captain Martin Baeza with Hollenbeck CPAB Member/El Sereno Bicentennial Parade Coordinator/LA-32 Neighborhood Council Member ........., and CD 14 Staffer Genny Guerrero.
** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose evidence of multiple violations of LAPD Administrative Order No.6 which outlines "The Structure and Responsibility of Community-Police Advisory Boards". From Item III regarding the "Membership" make-ups of CPABs ..........,,
III. MEMBERSHIP. Commanding officers shall be solely responsible for the selection of all C-PAB members. When making membership selections, Area commanding officers are encouraged to seek the input of C-PAB membership, Department personnel, and members of the residential and business communities. Each Area shall have a Community-Police Advisory Board that is representative of its respective community. Such considerations as gender, ethnicity, and age (including high school students) should be considered to ensure that all facets of an Area are represented. Diversity, including that of thought and point of view, should be a topic that is consistently addressed by commanding officers to ensure that the makeup of their board accurately reflects all communities they serve. Diversity shall also include business people, educators, and community members. Members should be respected in the community, knowledgeable about conditions of their community, and have the ability to work well in a group setting. Members should also have the ability and willingness to inform the public or constituents of activities of the Advisory Board. Note: In order to attain non-partisan membership, elected officials, including the paid or full-time volunteer staff of elected officials, or active political candidates, shall not be selected to be a member of an Advisory Board. Elected officials and their staffs are permitted and encouraged to participate in C-PAB activities as a resource to the Advisory Board.
Yet the recent vote of the Hollenbeck CPAB to support Multiple ABC Licenses for the USC Health Science Campus Hyatt Hotel Development, has cause many discerning community members to express concern that the supposed, non-partisan Advisory Board, has become a tool for the political needs of CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar. In recent years, especially under the supposed leadership of its Co-chair Mago Amador, the selective body has voted to support issues (developments, alcohol licenses) that are normally the responsibility of the local Neighborhood Councils.
In reviewing the photos below and other documentation, we can ascertain that the following, current CPAB Members were supporters of CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar; CPAB Co-chair Mago Amador, Vera Del Pozo, Luanna Allard, Raelene Allard, Mark Overstreet, Genny Guerrero, Tammy Membreno and Michelle Corzantes.
Clearly, Captain Martin Baeza has a serious issue of community trust that merits investigation .........., and until a investigation on whether the Hollenbeck Division CPAB violated the provisions of Administrative Order No. 6 is completed, all votes supporting any projects, especially supporting ABC Alcohol Licenses for the USC Health Science Campus Hyatt Hotel Development, should be RESCINDED---Scott Johnson.
LAPD Hollenbeck Co-chair Mago Amador with Captain Martin Baeza.

CPAB Member, Barrio Action Youth and Family Center Executive Director Tammy Membreno with Mr. and Mrs Jose Huizar.
No objective, non-partisan LAPD CPAB would get involve in supporting USC President's Max Nikias efforts to increase alcohol sales in a sensitive community.

A Ethical Black Eye for the LAPD Hollenbeck Division CPAB (with help from USC)

In a blatant disregard of Openness and Transparency, documentation obtain via a California Public Records Act Request, shows that the LAPD Hollenbeck Division Community Police Advisory Board (CPAB) may have acted beyond its Structure of Responsibility, in supporting the University of Southern California (USC) Department of Public Safety's request for multiple ABC Licenses on its Health Science Campus.
LAPD Hollenbeck Division Captain Martin Baeza (at microphones), with Hollenbeck CPAB Co-chair Mago Amador (in light color blouse) and CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar.(in light blue tie).
** Blogger's Note: In a response to an Open Letter/California Public Records Act (CPRA) request, the staff of the LAPD Hollenbeck Division has quickly provided the requested documentation that exposes the Division's CPAB Approval of Support, regarding the University of Southern California's request for multiple (five?) ABC Alcohol Licenses at its Health Science Campus Hyatt Hotel Development. Official Minutes from the August, 2015 CPAB Meeting note that the following Board Members Raelene Allard, Frank Wada, Margarita Amador, Ernest Sanchez, Sr., Ken Kallman, Yvette Lozano, Vera Del Pozo, Hector Hernandez, Lynnelle Sanchez and Genny Guerrero voted 10-1-1 to support the efforts of USC after a presentation by USC Public Safety representative Mark Dzurec. As clearly evident from the Hollenbeck CPAB August Meeting Agenda posted below, no mention is made that the selected body would be taking community input and voting on whether to support the request for additional ABC Alcohol Licenses in the Hollenbeck Division. Instead the Agenda just makes mention of a USC Public Safety Guest Speaker. According to local sources, well verse in the workings of LAPD CPABs, the Hollenbeck CPAB exceeded its Structure of Responsibility ........., and those who have concerns should be encourage to file complaints with the LAPD Office of Inspector General, and also demand an investigation of its support of additional alcohol sales within a sensitive community (** As a side note, multiple sources tell Mayor Sam that this not the first time that Hollenbeck CPAB Co-chair Mago Amador, has use the board to facilitate supporting a project being pushed by CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar)---Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: The Fictitious Montebello City Council Campaign of Fernando Chacon (of Monterey Park, formerly Norwalk)

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose the FACTS regarding the Fictitious Montebello City Council Campaign of Fernando Chacon (via Monterey Park and formerly of Norwalk)
The supposed Prosecutor and Chacon Political Family Carpetbagger (via Monterey Park and formerly of Norwalk) Ad from the Commerce Casino-financed, "Los Chacon News".
The Chacon Political Family Carpetbag laden with "washed Campaign Money (allegedly)" and copies of the falsehood-filled "Los Chacon News".
** Blogger's Note: With two weeks remaining before Montebello Voters select their next incarnation of its governing City Council, the Mayor Sam Blog discloses the FACTS behind the Fictitious Montebello City Council Campaign of former CD 14 Resident (via Ramona Gardens), two-time losing (in 2003 and 2007), City of Norwalk City Council Candidate, Monterey Park-residing Business Owner ......., and Connected Non-Profit El Centro del Pueblo Program Director Fernando Chacon. Fernando is the fourth brother of the Chacon Political Family seeking to get elected to some sort of political office in Southeast LA County. In the early part of the 21st Century, Fernando resided in the City of Norwalk, where the voters twist rejected his (and Chacon Machine) efforts to serve on its City Council. According to a source, financial (and political considerations) prompted Fernando and family to move into a Monterey Park residence (literally across the 60 Freeway from Montebello), which also served as business address for his Graphics Design Business. On May 2, 2015, the "Mountain View News" printed in its Legal Notice Section (pictured below), a filing with the Los Angeles County Clerk on April 28, 2015, of a Fictitious Business Name Statement that denoted legal change of business address for his "Universal Graphic Services", to a 142 S. Taylor Avenue, Montebello, California 90640 location. This is the same address domicile location listed in the Official Los Angeles County List of Candidates (Page 72) for the upcoming, November 3, 2015 Elections ...... Below we have posted photos of the pertinent locations and documentation that should cause Montebello voters to question the TRUE motivations ........, and legality of the Fernando Chacon for Montebello City Council Campaign (** Please note that these FACTS will not be found in the Commerce Casino-financed ......., and FPPC-fined "Los Chacon News")---Scott Johnson.

Morning Briefs on a Fleeing Mayor Gar-Soft-ee for Tuesday

A South LA Dialog with Mayor Eric "Gar-Soft-ee" degenerates into a "Black Lives Matter" counter protest, prompting the First Term Mayor to vacate the proceedings as agitators surround his vehicle.
"Mayor Gar-Soft-ee Wear" is the right fit for vacating Community Meetings gone South (LA).
** Blogger's Note: Note to the Rhodes Scholar, turned First Term, Techie-Progressive Mayor Eric "Gar-Soft-ee"......., the Black Voter Still Matters in South LA. You should be commended for your attempt to reach out to a voter block that thought a "Boss D'Arcy Rizzo Call Greuel" would be a better choice to replace, now former Failure Mayor Antonio "Pollovillar (a flashback moment posted below)" It would of been so easy for you to send a token staffer to hear out a constituent group that is represented by the likes of longtime Soulvine Columnist Betty Pleasant, who has targeted you with numerous "WMDs (Wanton Missives of Distortions) regarding your policies and staff selections affecting South LA ......., but southward you ventured last evening. This morning, missives, news reports and commentary, are documenting "an attempt at connecting", that was readily hijack by those with a more decisive approach of messaging (devoid of substance). The image of a supposed Progressive Mayor, being escorted from a community forum beyond his control, this after failing to win over the audience with comments that supported the premise of the protesters (Black Lives Matter) and encouraging behavior (Booing) that is not conducive for a respectful conversation, provides additional validating our "Gar-Soft-ee Moniker" BTW, as a bloggin Public Service, we post below a video from the early days of the Failure Mayor Antonio Villar Era, that was the motivation for the "Polloraigosa Branding". Again, credit to "Mayor Gar-Soft-ee", but we hope that he find his inner-political sternness sometime soon---Scott Johnson.

Monday Morning Hot Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine

As Governor Jerry "Moonbeam II" Brown continues with the tired "The Climate is Changing (and humans are the cause)" Charade, the LA Times hits back at "Moonbeam II's" assertions that California's recent wildfires are a byproduct of Climate Change.
Its October 19, 2015 and the snow has return to Mammoth Mountain.
The "Blue/Green ,Man-made Climate Change Charade" is all about confiscating more of your money.
** Please pause the bloggin delay, but when the "Old Gray Eco/Collectivist Hag on Spring Street (aka LA Times)" strays from its normal Agenda Pronouncements, into an accidental Act of Journalism ........., ESPECIALLY when the topic is alleged, Man-made Climate Change, we must consider this Breaking News. The Times this AM, repudiates the recent claims of "Greece on the Pacific" Governor Jerry "Moonbeam II" Brown, that recent Wildfires, are a byproduct of Man-made Climate Change, as number of ecological experts noted, Instead, something called FIRE SUPPRESSION is the reason why California Wildfires have become more menacing in recent years. Decades of suppressing fires, instead of using them to help maintain a healthy habitat, created fuel loading that when ignited, caused "Hot Fires", that quickly spread.and have been destructive to new built communities in the interfacing areas where nature and civilization merge. But then "Governor Moonbeam II" is not one to let a supposed Climate Crisis go to waste ......,especially when the confiscation of more revenue is the desired outcome.
HACLA Commissioner Maria Lou Calanche has a "RG Revisionist Moment (again)".
Now HACLA Commissioner and Legacy LA Executive Director Maria Lou Calanche, with former Boss Richard Alatorre.
** Its has been a bloggin while since we broached anything involving the Connected Non-Profit Legacy LA and its Murchison Street-raised Executive Director Maria "Lou Lou" Calanche. But in recent weeks, the now Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA for short) Commissioner, has been pushing the "Legacy LA Agenda (allegedly)" on the new Service Providers in the Ramona Gardens Community. The hot rumor making the rounds in the neighborhood is that Commissioner Calanche was upset that the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club (who has replace LA Rec and Parks as the operator of the Ramona Gardens Rec. Center), did not give her an invite to their Grand Opening ........., and put pressure to ensure a role at the ceremonies, where she again, mislead the community about her upbringing.
