LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina to challenge Huizar for CD 14 in 2015

LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina announces her intention to challenge CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar in 2015.
The former CD 1 City Councilwomen lays out her intentions to defeat the Princeton Graduate.
Being an arrogant, abusive huevon, apparently does not insure re-election.
In a CD-14 Political Earthquake, LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina announced her intentions this afternoon to challenge embattled CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar, in the upcoming 2015 Municipal Elections.
Many political observers have been speculating since the Spring of 2013 whether the termed-out Supervisor was seeking to continue her political career, with a return to 200 Spring Street. That speculation was partly fueled with her sponsorship of programs and events, such as the LA-32 Neighborhood Council-created Ascot Hills Kite Festival.
In recent weeks, word of mouth had Molina associates looking for a place to establish domicile within the district. Informally, contacts within the Mayor Garcetti inner-circle have stated that any potentially big name candidates would wait until after Labor Day to disclose their intentions which Supervisor Molina did today as the LA Times notes.
"I am concerned that there is only one woman on the [15-member] City Council," said Molina, who had served on the council from 1987 to 1991. "When I left, that wasn't the case at all."
Molina, who spent nearly three decades living in Mt. Washington, said she moved into Huizar's district -- a requirement for candidates seeking the seat -- a few weeks ago. She has separated from her husband, business consultant Ron Martinez, and purchased a three-bedroom home in El Sereno. She also has hired political consultant Fred Register for her campaign.

Councilman Huizar's "Director of Spin" crafted the following "Coca Puff" for his boss.

Huizar spokesman Rick Coca responded with a statement from the councilman touting his work in the district, which includes El Sereno, part of Highland Park and most of downtown. “From revitalizing Broadway and helping create thousands of jobs downtown, to building new parks, to championing groundbreaking pedestrian, bike and business friendly policies that are the model for the entire city, the service to Council District 14 constituents has never been higher and I look forward to continuing to serve as their councilmember for  the next four years," Huizar said

"SEX SCANDAL"... PEOPLE IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 14 NEED TO KNOW. THE MORE PEOPLE READ THIS, THE BETTER. AN INJUSTICE IS TAKING PLACE. Anyone with a sister or mother should read this. Yes...everyone. I have no political agenda...just stating the truth. Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar is not telling the truth. He is trying to say his relationship with Francine Godoy was consensual to continue his career,as many politicians have done before him. He's saying it's consensual to explain the countless harassing phone calls he made to her. If the truth came out, which is that he used his position to harass and torment this poor girl, his life/marriage would be over. The fact is, Francine Godoy was a victim and is now being portrayed as a home wrecker because huizar "admitted to an affair" which just isn't true. Yes, she was strong willed at times or came off as being abrasive, but still she was innocent.

People are stuck on her salary...in the public sector, if a guy over 7 years worked his way up the corporate ladder, it wouldn't be a big deal. When she was first brought on, she was hired well below her skill set. Once that was noticed, she was given more responsibility and pay to retain her. All this girl did was work hard and kept her honor the whole time. Anonymous posters on blogs who made up rumors years ago were just jealous of her and in competition.

Don't be fooled ...Jose is a scum bag. FYI Huizar's poor wife (who is also a victim) knows the truth but is remaining silent because she needs him to work to support her and their kids.

The way the system is set up, Francine will more than likely settle because she cannot win regardless of facts and the truth. Sad...

Sincerely,
someone who knows

Molina has been Broken Promises and Broken Dreams. She first rode in on the backs of women who had high hopes for her and them. Very quickly they learned that her lifelong goal was to hate not only men but herself. Just look at how she has physically changed, this is not age only,176 this is self hate. But also do a true review of what she has done for the people of Los Angeles in her over 30 years of service. Not very much at all. Stay to your quilting Gloria, you are a carpet bagger after all. anonymous

At least this carpetbagger is not making the same mistake that Alarcon did and that is that she actually moved into the community. That being said its the same old story.
Career politicians who have no idea what to with themselves just keep using us a revolving door. I mean take a look at the City Council, a bunch of opportunist who use the city to obtain easy jobs which pay twice as much as state assembly positions.
I for one hope that neither of this teo jokers get elected and that El Sereno votes for one of its own, its about time we elect someone who really cares about the community and is not selling themselves to the highest bidder or attempting to continue to live off the underserved taxpayers of the district.
Huizar you should resign and Molina stay out the race and let new local talent represent us.

I hope that Molina will stop catering to
Racist special groups like Huizar and bring in businesses along Huntington Drive.
We have more than are fair share of section 8 housing on Huntington Drive,
And sex offenders and half way house' s in the community.
Balance the housing with senior buildings.
Bring the gold line arm from east .L.A
to pasadena, or change the dash to go to the gold line.
Students could go to ELA College, cal State L.A., Pasadena city college, USA and
Trade tech, UCLA, Santa Monica college.
I drive to ucla for health care every week. They are number 1 in the state and
3rd in the west. It would open the community opertunity for educational and job opportunities. It could bring in businesses and tax base for the city which is very needed.
I'd see people taking the bus to buy a large pizza, now I also see them walking to the new 711 for it.
We need a real pharmacy like a walgreens.
The tax dollars go to Alhambra and Pasadena for lack of decent shopping.
Bring in your Staffers to replace old CD14 who don't answer or return phone calls. I have call the supervisors office and they have sent a letter responding back and contacting Huizar office regarding problems.
I always got better action from her offices
And used environmental Health from the county because building and safty won't do their job or listen to Huizar.
Let's see how many nonprofits who are used during campaigns abandon ship with Huizar.
DO WHAT S BEST FOR THE DISTRICT AND NOT SPECIAL GROUPS.
Huizar only has meetings with his specials groups and is not open to anyone in the community when he sets aside a day for community appointments .

Maybe the mediam's along Huntington and Valley Blvd will look alive instead of dead and dry.
Look for community jobs and training at the USC health science campus like they did at the main compus. This along with improvement which are better for the community and surrounding areas, with benifits for the region and city as a whole.

The lesser of two evils is Huizar to be honest. Gloria Molina has been in government way too long and and its time her fat little hands get out of the piggy bank. How can she give Cal State LA an endowment of 2-3 million with her salary? Why is she all of a sudden giving money to non-profits in the eastside left and right?? Maybe she got the funds from the taxes of the people who live in east la and other unincorporated areas in the county. Why is she such a self hating Mexican that she goes against all things that are good for the city. She hates on her own culture and its a shame that she has mexican heritage. Unfortunately she is going to win and like she has previously will continue to steal funds from this city. Maybe leave it as trust fund money for her daughter?
